Biegun offers N. Korea to restart talks with US

The United States wants to restart talks with North Korea, US Special Representative for North Korea Stephen Biegun said in Seoul on Monday.

In response to Pyongyang's calls for the US to soften its stance in talks with North Korea or face a "Christmas present," Biegun noted that Washington has no deadline for the negotiations. The envoy added: "It's been a long year and we have not made nearly as much progress as we would have hoped. But we will not give up."

Biegun went on to say that the US offered some creative deals in past talks, but didn't reveal details of the US offers.
