BMW reports EPS of €3.34 in Q2, up YoY
German car manufacturer Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW) reported on Thursday its earnings per share for the second quarter of 2017 stood at €3.34, increasing from €2.95 reported in the same period last year. The group's revenue was recorded at €23.4 billion in the second three months of this year, rising from €20.9 billion reported in the same quarter of 2016.
The company said its net profit amounted to € 2.2 billion in the second quarter of 2017, improving from €1.9 billion reported in the same period a year ago. BMW's sales grew to 587,200 units in this quarter from 557,600 recorded in the second three months of 2016.
BMW Group"s outlook states that the profit before tax is expected to rise while the workforce will also most likely grow in 2017. The company's revenues are forecasted to achieve a solid growth throughout the year since the original outlook has been revised upwards.
