Boeing deliveries slump amid 737 MAX groundings

The Boeing Company delivered 24 jets in November, a decrease of 55 compared to the same month last year amid lowered demand for its 737 MAX model, the company said on Tuesday.

The plane-maker delivered 345 commercial and military aircraft so far this year, slipping from the delivery figures recorded over the first 11 months of 2018 when deliveries reached 704 planes. Nevertheless, Boeing shipped four planes more than it did in October.

In March, Ethiopian Airlines' Boeing 737 carrying 149 passengers and 8 crew members crashed traveling from Addis Ababa to Nairobi which led to multiple groundings of 737 models around the world. Last month, the report said that the 777X airplane suffered a setback during a stress test in September as its fuselage split wide open.
