Brazil reports 50,434 COVID cases, 755 deaths

In Brazil, at least 50,434 people tested positive for the COVID-19 in the past twenty-four hours per the country's health ministry’s count, which takes its cumulative number of cases to 6,487,084.

Additionally, the data showed virus-related fatalities went up by 755 in the same time period to stand at 175,270, while the cumulative number of recoveries from the illness rose to a total of 5,725,010.

Brazil currently stands third worldwide in the number of total cases registered, behind the United States and India, and lags only behind the US in the number of deaths caused by the illness.
