Brexit deal recycled as PM May rejected it: Corbyn

Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the United Kingdom's Labour Party and the opposition, said on Monday that Prime Minister Boris Johnson "misspent" £100 million of public money on a marketing campaign for the country's withdrawal from the European Union by October 31. The same Brexit model that is given to lawmakers to vote on has been rejected by previous Prime Minister Theresa May, he stressed in Parliament and called the deal "recycled."

Johnson "failed cause he was chosen to fail," Corbyn said and claimed he "can't be trusted." The prime minister has illegally prorogued Parliament for five weeks and broken promises like the one that he would "rather die in a ditch" than ask for an extension, he added.

The Labour leader noted recent media reports that there were secret meetings between government officials and the representatives of pharmaceutical firms from the United States.
