Brexit deal won't be done at any cost - Varadkar

Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar stressed on Friday that the deal regulating United Kingdom's future relations with the European Union would "not be done at any cost" and noted that the "gap" on Brexit remains "very big."

In a radio interview, Varadkar also pointed out that Brexit does not give him "sleepless nights" but that it is, however, "very worrying." Asked to comment on United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson's intentions regarding Britain's exit from the bloc, the Irish prime minister said Johnson is, despite everything, "acting in good faith."

Meanwhile in the UK, the end to Brexit is nowhere in sight. Johnson recently tied Parliament's hands by proroguing it after lawmakers had adopted a law designed to prevent the country to leave the EU without a deal and force the prime minister to ask for another Brexit extension.
