British MP Nigel Adams resigns
British Minister of State Nigel Adams (pictured), an ally of former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, announced that he will be resigning from his post effective immediately.
According to Adams, the Selby Conservatives already selected an "excellent" new parliamentary candidate for the by-election, which was triggered by his resignation. "It has been an honor to represent the area where I was raised (and) educated," the outgoing MP concluded.
Adams is the third Conservative lawmaker to step down in the last 24 hours.
