Buttigieg: Supply chain crisis to carry on into 2022

United States Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg stated on Sunday that a lot of the challenges concerning supply chains will carry on into next year.

Buttigieg said that the Biden administration is evaluating some short-term and long-term steps it can undertake on alleviating some of the supply chain pressures, but admitted it is limited in some aspects due to most supply chains being in private hands.

On the other hand, Buttigieg was optimistic about the state of the economy, saying that demand is off the chars and that retail sales are "through the roof." He asserted that this is then putting more pressure on supply chains and the transport of goods.
