CDC allows use of COVID home tests for travelers

The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that international travelers flying to the US can use some home tests as proof they are not infected with the coronavirus when entering the country.

"International air passengers traveling to the United States can use a self-test (sometimes referred to as home test) that meets the following criteria," the CDC said in its update.

The test must have emergency use authorization from the US Food and Drug Administration and can be either a Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT) or antigen.
