CDC postpones decision on J&J jab

A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) panel has decided to postpone making a decision on Johnson & Jonson's coronavirus vaccine due to a lack of data on whether the shot causes blood clots.

Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices has met to access the risk and decide for how long to curb the use of the jab after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned against using it.

Previously, following the FDA's decision, the drugmaker announced it intends to delay the rollout of its vaccine in Europe.
