China confirms no Disney project in Wuhan planned

Chinese state media clarified on Saturday that Wuhan city wasn't discussing a new project with Walt Disney Co. hours after the central province of Hubei withdrew its WeChat statement it had begun talking to the American company.

Shanghai Disney Resort executive Murray King labeled it as "fake news," according to the report published by the Shanghai Securities News. Disney currently owns two themed parks across China. The first $5.5 billion resort was opened in Shanghai in 2016, while the other theme part has been hosted by Hong Kong since 2005.
