China not notified of North Korea's border reopening
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said on Tuesday that China has not received any notification regarding North Korea’s border reopening through diplomatic channels. He commented on a report by China Central Television (CCTV) claiming that North Korea will allow foreigners entry for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic.
The report alleged the borders will reopen on September 25 and that travelers will be subjected to a two-day quarantine on arrival. The outlet did not cite any sources and North Korea has not commented on the claims.
