China slams US, Canada for 'bloc politics'
Chinese Embassy in Canada issued a statement on Saturday criticizing the remarks made by United States President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after their meeting on Friday. The two leaders said China poses a "long-term challenge" to the international order, highlighting Beijing's "economic coercion, non-market policies and practices and human rights abuses."
The embassy expressed its "strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition" to what it perceived as "repeated hype of China-related issues." It accused countries like the US and Canada of adhering to a "Cold War mentality and ideological prejudice" and engaging in "bloc politics" which damages other countries and global peace, security and development.
