Chinese consumer prices jump, producer prices fall in October

Consumer prices in China surged 3.8% in October compared to the same month a year earlier, the country's National Bureau of Statistics reported. The move marks the largest jump in consumer prices in nearly eight years.

On the other hand, producer prices in the country slid 1.6% year on year in October, marking the largest drop in over three years.
