Cisco's revenue in Q1 up 6% YoY to $13.6 billion
Cisco Systems Inc. revealed on Wednesday that its revenue in the first trimester of fiscal 2023 amounted to $13.6 billion, rising 6% on a yearly basis.
For the reported period, the company's earnings per share, however, saw an annual decrease of 7% to stand at $0.65. Moreover, net income in the first quarter of fiscal 2023 slid 10% in comparison to the same timeframe in fiscal 2022, to land at $2.7 billion.
"Our fiscal 2023 is off to a good start as we delivered the largest quarterly revenue and second highest quarterly non-GAAP earnings per share in our history. These results demonstrate the relevance of our strategy, our differentiated innovation, and our unique position to help our customers become more resilient," CEO Chuck Robbins noted.
Cisco's shares jumped 4.87% in the after-hours trading following the release of the report.
