Comcast Q2 revenue up 20.4% YoY at $28.5B

Comcast Corporation reported on Thursday that its revenue for the second fiscal quarter of the year increased 20.4% when compared to the same period last year reaching $28.5 billion and beating market estimates.

At the same time, the company's adjustable net income rose 24.3% year-over-year to $3.9 billion, while its adjusted earnings per share (EPS) went from $0.69 to $0.84 constituting a per annum gain of 21.7%.

Comcast Chairman and CEO Brian Roberts commented on the results: "We delivered excellent results in the quarter, continuing our great start to the year. At Cable, our performance was exceptional, highlighted by 11% revenue and 15% Adjusted EBITDA growth, the best broadband and total customer relationship net additions on record for a second quarter, and the most wireless net additions since the launch of Xfinity Mobile in 2017."

Comcast shares were up 2.62% in premarket trading following the release of the report.
