Comcast Q4 revenue up 9.5% YoY at $30.34B

Comcast Corporation published on Thursday that its revenue for the fourth fiscal quarter of the year increased 9.5% compared to the same period last year, reaching $30.34 billion, beating market estimates. The company's adjusted net income rose 35.1% year-over-year to $3.53 billion, while its adjusted earnings per share (EPS) also exceeded expectations to jump from $0.56 to $0.77 for an annual gain of 37.5%.

Revenue for the year 2021 increased by 12.4%, reaching $116.39 billion compared to the previous year. Adjusted net income stood at $15.05 billion, 24.8% higher, and the adjusted earnings per share (EPS) improved by 23.8%, jumping from $2.61 to $3.23.

"Comcast's strong operating and financial performance in 2021 was underscored by our highest full-year revenue, adjusted EBITDA, adjusted EPS, and free cash flow on record. We continue to execute extraordinarily well, strengthening our leadership position in connectivity, aggregation, and streaming, while working to have a lasting impact on our communities through our commitment to DE&I and digital equity," commented Comcast CEO Brian Roberts.

Comcast shares were up 1.26% in premarket trading following the report's release.
