Comey: I respect Bill Barr, he will be good AG

Former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director James Comey praised William Barr on Friday and expressed confidence that he will be a "good" next attorney general. He said after his closed-door meeting with the House Committee that he believes that Barr "cares deeply about the integrity of the Justice Department" and that he did a great job during his previous term.

Comey refused to tell reporters to what extent he cooperated with the Mueller investigation, noting that the FBI doesn't want those details being leaked to the press. According to sources, Cohen faced an aggressive questioning during his hearing, particularly on his involvement in the Russia probe, CNN reported.

The remarks come after it United States President Donald Trump confirmed earlier today that he will nominate Justice Department chief William Barr as the new attorney general.
