COVID-19 relief bill still not reached, to be continued

Democrats and Republicans restarted in-person talks on the next coronavirus relief bill on Monday as the enhanced unemployment benefits have expired but haven't managed to reach the deal. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (pictured right) said that the meeting on coronavirus relief bill she had with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (pictured left), White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, was productive and that they will meet again tomorrow.

Schumer stated he believes there is a "desire to get something done on coronavirus relief," While Mnuchin only noted the talks were "done for the day."

Leaving Pelosi’s office, Mnuchin and Meadows stated they were going to brief Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on the two-hour meeting.
