Crashed Cessna lost contact with flight control after take-off
United States investigators revealed that air traffic control lost contact with a Cessna aircraft just minutes into its flight on Sunday, which ended in a fatal plane crash that left no survivors.
The plane's unusual flight path, including turning around over Long Island and flying directly over the nation's capital, prompted the military to scramble fighter jets. The interception resulted in a sonic boom being heard in Washington, Maryland, and Virginia.
