DAX to be expanded by 10 companies on Monday
Germany's DAX stock index will be expanded by 10 companies on Monday, September 20, and its total number of constituents will be brought up to 40, according to the Deutsche Boerse Group's previous announcement.
The expansion, announced as a means to bring the needed diversification to the index, marks the largest modification that the DAX has undergone in 33 years since its founding.
The newcomers include the aircraft maker Airbus SE, E-commerce Zalando SE, Siemens' subsidiary Siemens Healthineers AG, automotive giant Porsche Automobil Holding SE, and the chemical manufacturer, Symrise AG. Come Monday, the index will also comprise the meal-kit delivery company, HelloFresh SE, pharmaceutical firm Sartorius AG Vz, chemical distributor Brenntag SE, as well as the sportswear brand, Puma SE, and molecular technology company Qiagen N.V.
