DAX up 350 pts premarket as pandemic fades

European stocks traded higher in the premarket on Tuesday, with the DAX surging almost 350 points as the coronavirus pandemic nearly ended in Germany. Figures in Italy, the country which was mostly affected by the pandemic, also confirmed the European outbreak is almost completely over.

Meanwhile, the United Kingdom Business Department recently proposed a new Emissions Trading System (ETS) as a successor to the European Union’s system for trading carbon emissions.

The DAX jumped by 2.97% or 342 points at 7:26 am CET, while the FTSE 100 rose by 0.56% at the same time. The CAC 40 gained 0.69% at 8:01 am CET. Both the euro and the pound stood flat against the dollar to sell for $1.11345 and $1.24957, respectively.
