DC court rejects Trump's tax return appeal

United States President Donald Trump lost an appeal on Friday before the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, which refused to block a subpoena for his tax return records. The court decided in a 2-1 ruling - Judge Neomi Rao, Trump's appointee, is the only one who voted for his appeal to be accepted. The president can appeal to the Supreme Court or ask for the wider panel in the same instance to review the decision.

Previously, the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, issued the subpoena to his accountants, Mazars USA, to obtain the documents.

Earlier this week, the US District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissed Trump's lawsuit in federal court against a subpoena for his tax returns issued by District Attorney of New York County Cyrus Vance Jr.
