Dell's diluted EPS almost triples to $1.57 in Q4

Dell Inc. announced on Thursday that its diluted earnings per share (EPS) in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2021 were 191% higher compared to the same period a year ago, reaching $1.57.

Operating income amounted to $2.18 billion in the three months ending with January 31, 2021, marking a surge of 204% from the same trimester last year, while net income reached $1.34 billion, skyrocketing 223% year-on-year. The company's fourth-quarter total net revenue rose 9% on yearly basis to hit $26.11 billion.

For the entire fiscal 2021, total net revenue was $94.22 billion, a figure 2% higher than in 2020, while operating income soared 96% to $5.14 billion. Net income was 37% lower annually, standing at $3.5 billion in 2021 while diluted earnings per share were 30% down, landing at $4.22.

Dell's stock decreased by 3.36% in after-hours trading upon the report's release.
