Denmark: Over half of gas gone from Nord Stream

Director of Danish Energy Agency Kristoffer Bottzauw said on Wednesday, during a press conference, that currently more than half of the gas from the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines is now gone due to the leaks.

He further added that the authorities "expect the pipelines to be empty of gas by the end of the week." At the same conference, Copenhagen police chief Anne Tonnes shared that an investigation on the issue has been launched in cooperation with Swedish and German authorities.

Earlier, officials speculated that the damage done to the pipelines was a result of "deliberate acts," while Russia said it plans to call a United Nations Security Council meeting, in order for the issue to be discussed.
