Deutsche Bank gives first Trump records to NY AG - report

Deutsche Bank AG started handing over United States President Donald Trump's financial records to New York Attorney General Letitia James, CNN reported. The New York prosecutor issued a subpoena last month for documents related to Trump's businesses, including Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC, the Trump National Doral Miami and the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago. James also requested records on Trump's bid to buy the NFL team the Buffalo Bills.

According to previous reports, Deutsche Bank loaned Trump more than $2 billion before he became president and was one of the rare banks willing to finance his projects. The company was also allegedly subpoenaed by the House Intelligence and Financial Services committees for documents regarding Trump's business transactions. The New York investigation was triggered by testimony by the president's former lawyer Michael Cohen, who claimed Trump inflated or deflated his assets as needed.
