Djokovic defeats Tsitsipas to win Australian Open

Serbian Novak Djokovic beat Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece to win the Australian Open finals played at the Rod Laver Arena on Sunday, clinching the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup for a record-breaking 10th time.

The Serb defeated his opponent with two tie-breaks in the sets 6-3, 7-6, 7-6 to win his 22nd Grand Slam title and equal Rafel Nadal's all-time record of 22 wins at majors.

"This has been one of the most difficult tournaments, considering the circumstances... Not playing last year and coming back this year ... There is a reason I have been playing my best tennis here," Djokovic said after his win. "We are small countries that don't have a tennis tradition," he said, talking about his and Tsitsipas' homeland. "The message for any young tennis player around the world who is dreaming of being where Stefanos and I are: Dream big."
