Dow drops over 100 points premarket

Equities in the United States declined in premarket trading on Tuesday as investors are focused on the ongoing trade negotiations between Washington and Beijing including the tariffs on Chinese goods set to take effect on December 15. US President Donald Trump said on Monday that trade talks with China are going "well."

Meanwhile, officials from Washington and Ottawa are set to travel to Mexico City today to work on the final changes to the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).

The Dow Jones pointed to a lower open as it declined 131.55 points meaning 0.45% at 4:16 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 also posted losses, slipping 0.51% into the red at the same time. The S&P 500 fell 0.45% below the flat line a minute later.

The euro climbed 0.11% versus the dollar, selling for 1.10771 at 4:17 am ET.
