Dow extends gains, up 350 pts on positive data

The Dow Jones Index jumped over 350 points on Wednesday as the United States economy started showing signs of recovery from the coronavirus crisis. Economic data pointed out positive results in the country's non-manufacturing sector, new factory orders, as well as in the services sector activity.

The Dow jumped by 1.37% or 353 points at 11:04 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 concurrently gained 0.38%. A minute later, the S&P 500 rose by 1.10%.

The euro grew 0.45% compared to the dollar to sell for $1.12233 at 11:05 am ET.
