Dow falls 250 pts premarket as uncertainty remains

Stock exchanges in the United States traded with losses in the premarket on Monday as traders seemingly remained unconvinced that the takeover agreement between UBS and Credit Suisse and monetary authorities' efforts to shore up global liquidity will bring stability to the commercial banking sector and end uncertainty on both sides of the Atlantic.

The Dow Jones was down 0.83% or 263 points, the Nasdaq 100 lost 0.45% and the S&P 500 fell by 0.73% at 4:08 am ET.

The euro was 0.07% lower than the dollar, going for 1.06624 a minute later.
