Dow, Nasdaq turn to losses amid COVID worries

Shares on the majors stock market indexes in the United States started trading mostly lower on Friday after having opened the week's last session in the positive territory. The change of sentiment came amid the worries regarding the negotiations on the latest installment of the coronavirus relief package.

The traders also kept an eye on the coronavirus pandemic situation, as the number of daily cases increased in the US, and reached a record-high figure worldwide.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped by 0.15% at 11:09 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 lost 0.23% at the same time. A minute later, the S&P 500 gained 0.15%. The euro advanced 0.21% against the dollar, selling for $1.18425 at 11:18 am ET.
