Dow over 400 pts in negative before bell

Stocks on Wall Street extended losses in premarket session on Thursday as coronavirus fears deepened. The Bank of America revealed it expects lower global growth in 2020 due to the outbreak, and the slowest growth rate since the time of financial crisis in 2009.

Investors also anticipated data on durable goods orders, personal consumption expenditures and GDP, all due before markets open.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average index tumbled 1.52% at 08:14 am ET, losing 411 points. The Nasdaq 100 fell 1.86% one minute later as the S&P 500 declined 1.50% at 8:16 am ET.

The euro jumped 0.74% against the dollar, buying $1.09666 at 8:16 am ET.
