Dow up over 270 pts in premarket as Trump allows transition
Shares in the United States traded higher in the premarket on Tuesday after General Services Administration chief Emily Murphy confirmed to President-elect Joe Biden that the US President Donald Trump's administration is ready for a transition process. Trump tweeted that he will "keep up the good fight."
The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 0.92%, or 271 points, at 4:23 am ET. At the same time, the Nasdaq 100 went up by 0.32%, while the S&P 500 rose by 0.78%. The euro gained 0.33% to the dollar to sell for $1.18779 at 4:24 am ET.
