easyJet's revenue for FY2023 up 42% to £8.1B

British low-cost carrier easyJet plc revealed on Tuesday that its total revenue for fiscal year 2023 rose 42% in relation to 2022 to £8.1 billion.

According to the company, profit per seat increased 21% year-on-year to £79.84, and headline profit before tax jumped 356% to £450 million compared with 2022. EasyJet sees a positive outlook for 2024, expecting holiday customers to grow by 35% year-on-year and UK market share to increase by 5% to 7%.

"Our record summer performance demonstrates the success of our strategy and that demand for easyJet remains strong as customers choose us for our network and value," Johan Lundgren, easyJet's Chief Executive Officer, said. "We are confident about the future and the opportunity ahead, focusing on capital discipline and driving our low cost model to achieve our ambitious medium term targets."
