EIA: US crude inventories down by 4.9M barrels

Crude oil inventories in the United States decreased by 4.9 million barrels to 447.1 million barrels in the week ending November 29, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported on Thursday.

US crude oil refinery inputs averaged 16.8 million barrels per day, increasing by 464,000 barrels per day from the previous week. Refineries operated at 91.9% of their capacity while gasoline production decreased, averaging 9.9 million barrels per day.

Imports of crude oil in the US averaged 6 million barrels per day, down by 201,000 barrels per day from the previous week. Total commercial petroleum inventories fell by 4.9 million barrels.
