Erdogan: Nuclear war would be 'catastrophic'
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters on Wednesday that entering into a nuclear war would be "catastrophic."
"We should not even think about it, let alone speak out. Solving this issue through diplomacy would be the most correct step," Erdogan highlighted.
Top officials have been condemning Russian President Vladimir Putin's recent comments, according to which Moscow has "various weapons of destruction" and is ready to use "all means available" to defend itself. Washington underscored that such a war "cannot be won," and thus, should "never be fought."
