Erdogan slams West for 'pouring fuel on fire' in Gaza

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused on Friday the West of "pouring fuel on fire" regarding to situation in Gaza, stating that the civilian population in the enclave will "pay the price for every moment lost in achieving lasting peace," according to the Anadolu news agency. He also claimed that international organizations responsible for global peace and security "lack problem-solving capabilities" and again suggested Turkey could help end the Israel-Hamas conflict and "shoulder responsibility to prevent more bloodshed."

Speaking at a media event, Erdogan said over 70 journalists have been killed in Gaza since the start of the conflict two months ago and accused big media of "downplaying the brutality of attacks on Gaza and justifying the killings of journalists."
