EU consumer confidence down in October

The consumer confidence across the Eurozone edged down to -4.8, a 0.8 decrease compared to September, according to a preliminary report published by the European Commission on Thursday.

When it comes to the data for the European Union as a whole, the report noted that the figure is -6.1 points, 0.9 down compared to the month prior. The indicators remain close to or above their pre-pandemic levels in both regions.

The final results are scheduled to be published on October 28.
