EU must take measures against Turkey - French trade min

French Trade Minister Franck Riester (pictured) said on Tuesday the European Union will have to take measures against Turkey at the next European Council meeting in December over Ankara's comments on Paris' alleged mistreatment of Muslims.

"All of Europe joins France in denouncing the behavior and excesses of Mr. Erdogan," Riester stated.

Earlier this week, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused France of Islamophobia and called for a boycott of French products. Furthermore, Erdogan questioned the mental health of his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron over his treatment of Muslims.
