EU's Borrell: Russia isn't willing to negotiate peace

European Union's foreign policy chief Josep Borrell argued on Monday that Russia is not looking to negotiate peace with Ukraine as it is still looking to win the war.

"I see a concentration of troops on both sides, the clear will of Russia to try to win the war ... [Russia] will not go to negotiation until it has tried to win the war," Borrell told reporters following an event in Barcelona. Commenting on the future of the conflict, Borrell warned that the war would extend through the summer as the Russian military amasses forces in the disputed regions.

Borrell's comments come as Russia's airstrikes continue to shake Ukraine on a daily basis.
