Europe closes mostly lower after GDP data

Major European stock exchanges closed with mostly lower results on Thursday after the Eurozone's gross domestic product was confirmed to decrease by 0.1% in the third quarter of the year. Earlier during the day, German industrial production showed a drop of 0.4% in October while house prices in the United Kingdom increased monthly by 0.5%. Swiss unemployment went up to land at 2.1% in November.

At the close, the German DAX lost 0.16%, with Commerzbank AG decreasing 4.14%. The pan-European Euro Stoxx 50 finished 0.21% lower with Adidas slipping 2.99%. Besides, the French CAC 40 fell 0.10% as Teleperformance traded 2.56% lower. The FTSE 100 closed flat.

The euro was up by 0.26% against the dollar at 5:30 pm CET, selling for $1.07905. Meanwhile, the pound gained 0.14% to be sold for $1.25733 simultaneously.
