Europe lower in premarket ahead of data

Equities in Europe trader lower in the premarket on Wednesday as Germany is set to reveal its gross domestic product (GDP) in the fourth quarter of 2020. The Bank of England (BoE) will hold its Monetary Policy Report hearings. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom agreed to extend the timeframe the European Union has to ratify the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement until April 30.

The DAX traded 0.45% lower at 7:11 am CET. At the same time, the FTSE sank by 0.81%, while the CAC 40 went down by 0.56%.

The euro stood flat against the dollar, changing hands for $1.21500 at 7:26 am CET. A minute later, the pound sterling advanced by 0.34% against the greenback to sell for $1.41622.
