Europe lower premarket ahead of ECB decision

Major stock markets in Europe were lower in premarket trade on Thursday as investors prepared for the European Central Bank's decision regarding the interest rate for the Eurozone, set to be announced later in the day. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom Office for National Statistics revealed that the unemployment rate in the country stood at 3.9% in the three months to May.

The DAX declined 0.70% at 7:58 am CET, while London's FTSE 100 decreased by 0.38% at the same time. The CAC 40 was 0.50% down at 8:02 am CET.

The euro was 0.08% lower compared to the dollar at 7:59 am CET, trading at 1.14024. The British pound lost 0.25% against the American currency, going for 1.25557 concurrently.
