Europe mixed in premarket after rally

Shares on major European stock market indexes traded mixed in the premarket on Tuesday after a successful start of the week, which ended with the German DAX's record high.

The traders monitored the developments regarding the pandemic, as European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen expressed concerns regarding the vaccine supply within the European Union, while the Netherlands extended the lockdown measures until the end of March.

The DAX stood flat at 8:00 am CET, while the FTSE 100 lost 0.14% at the same time. Concurrently, in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.20%. The euro and the pound advanced by 0.09% and 0.10% against the dollar at 8:02 am CET, selling for 1.18540 and 1.38309, respectively.
