Europe mixed with COVID vaccines in focus

Equities in Europe traded mixed in the premarket on Monday, as investors focused on news relating to the coronavirus vaccine. French President Emmanuel Macron called for a cooperation between the European Union and the United States when it comes to manufacturing and the distribution of vaccine, while the country announced further quarantine measures for those traveling from COVID-19 hotspot areas. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom announced that vaccines are effective against the so-called Indian variant of the virus.

The DAX was up 0.1% at 7:34 am CET, while the FTSE 100 decreased 0.07% a minute later. CAC 40 rose 0.22% at 8:01 am CET

The euro traded lower at 8:00 am CET going for 1.19642 against the dollar, while the pound was up 0.08% trading at 1.38509 a minute later.
