Europe mostly up premarket, German CPI in focus

Major European stock indexes traded mostly with gains during the premarket session on Friday after the latest reading on German consumer prices was released. In addition, data on the United Kingdom's consumer inflation expectations will be revealed in the coming hours.

The DAX was 0.05% higher at 8:00 am CET, and the FTSE 100 gained 0.21%. The Euro Stoxx 50 rose 0.25%. The CAC 40 was flat at the same time.

The euro was 0.14% lower against the dollar at 7:57 am CET, selling for $1.07799. The British pound fell 0.07% against the greenback, to sell for $1.25802 at the same time.
