Europe opens higher amid global rally

Major European indexes opened higher on Tuesday as stocks around the world rebounded after the latest economic data from the United States prompted investors to believe the Federal Reserve could slow the pace of its aggressive rate hikes. On the data front, market watchers awaited producer prices from the Eurozone.

The FTSE 100 rose 0.72% at 9:00 am CET. The best performer was Legal & General Group, whose stock soared 5.23%.

The DAX jumped 1.26% at 9:02 am CET. Infineon led the gains as its shares surged 3.20%.

The CAC 40 climbed 1.13% at 9:00 am CET with Compagnie de Saint-Gobain rallying 3.19%.

The euro added 0.45% against the dollar to sell for 0.98700 at 9:01 am CET and the pound gained 0.43% compared to the US currency to go for 1.13704 at the same time.
