Europe rallies at open following upbeat data

Major stock markets in Europe opened higher on Thursday following the publication of the latest upbeat data in the area. Yesterday, Germany reported that the business climate improved in January. Meanwhile, the Eurozone posted this week positive assessments on consumer confidence as well as in manufacturing and services activity.

At 9:01 am CET, the CAC 40 added 0.60%, while Kering improved by 1.83%. The FTSE 100 rose 0.49%, as 3I Group increased by 2.53%. The Euro Stoxx 50 moved up 0.65%, Adyen was up by 2.60%. German DAX gained 0.42% at 9:06 am CET, with Infineon up by 3.98%.

The euro was flat against the dollar at 8:57 am CET, selling for $1.09182. In comparison, the pound was up by 0.06% to go for $1.24046 simultaneously.
