Eurozone consumer confidence down in July
Consumer confidence in the euro area declined in July, the European Commission revealed in a report on Thursday, with the consumer confidence index down by 1.1 points to stand at negative 4.4 points.
The Economic Sentiment Indicator for the euro area rose by 1.1 points compared to June to reach 119, while the gauge for the European Union climbed 0.9 points to 118.
Industrial confidence in the euro area reached a new all-time high of 14.6 points, while services sentiment gained 1.3 points to hit its highest level since August 2007.
