Eurozone GDP up by 12.6% in Q3

The seasonally adjusted gross domestic product (GDP) in the euro area rose by 12.6% in the third quarter of 2020 compared to the previous three months, according to a preliminary estimate released by Eurostat on Friday. In the whole European Union, GDP was up by 11.6%.

Annually, the seasonally adjusted GDP declined 4.4% in the Eurozone, while the figure was down 4.3% in the EU compared to the same period in 2019.

Among member states, the largest GDP jump was observed in France, whose economy grew 18.2%, while Finland recorded the lowest increase as its GDP was up by 2.6%.
